.. is happening in Shreveport/Bossier right now. The CenturyTel Center apparently rented itself out to the "Josh Grobin tour rehearsal site" from now all the way until May 7th. Not sure what the heck they want it for, but now the Mudbugs have made it to the semi-finals of the playoffs, and they don't have a home ice!! The entire series might be played on Allen's home ice.

How in the world could the Bugs and CTC not talked about possible playoff dates and made sure that those were reserved?!?!?! Are you telling us that the Bugs brass didn't think that they would make it this far in the playoffs, or did they just not think that far in advance. Did the CTC say "Screw the Bugs, we need money" and take this deal?!?!

Shreveport/Bossier fans better hope that either the grobin thing gets moved/adjusted or that the Hirsch can still host a hockey rink.

It sucks big time. Also, the hirsch now uses the ice making equipment for the AC unit. No ice for hockey there.

Have the Mudbugs considered the Monroe Civic Center? The center used to host the Monroe Moccasins some years ago, and I think they still host ice events from time to time. It's in Monroe instead of Shreveport, but at least it's not in Allen, Texas for most of the 7-game playoff series.

They wanted to try a 3-3-1 series instead of the normal 2-2-1-1-1, but the opponent, Allen American wouldn't go for it. Now we have a "Home" game at Allen in game 3.

Bugs win game 1 in Allen last night. In most series, that would give you home-ice advantage, but not this one.

It is a good point, but the CTC was built by Bossier City to get the Mudbugs to play in that arena. At the time (1999-2000), had there been no Mudbugs, there would be no arena. I guess 10 years makes a difference.
