Except that is not a fact. It is never as simple as removing a questionable score. Because both teams played under the assumption that the score was good.
Sure my predictions look bad now. They were dependent on LeBron making the shots he has done all year. He isn't now. Big 3 at their best roll past Mavs. Without them at their best extends the series. Case in point, hurt Wade, off LeBron, and Mavs not being able to miss leads to a single digit win? One that was in question until a questionable offensive foul on LeBron. Sure glad you feel comfortable after that game.
First of all that is much better. My point is though that a play that close can't be complained about. In regular time, it is almost impossible to tell where he is. Freeze framing it at the time makes it appear like he is catching the ball with his foot on the line but it is still a fuzzy picture and is hard to tell for sure if he is in possession of the ball or just about to catch it.
Second, HD needs to read the rest of this site.
Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle referenced the backcourt violation in his postgame press conference, saying that was something else Dallas had to fight. That’s three points Miami should not have had, but it’s hard to say that means the Mavericks would have won the game. The Mavs went to the line 12 more times than the Heat and were called for 13 fewer fouls. Additionally, there were several fouls called on Udonis Haslem that seemed unnecessary, and there was a play where Shawn Marion jumped into LeBron James and a foul was not called.
Even though this should not have counted, it’s difficult for me to say the Mavericks would have won the game. Even Rick Carlisle said the Heat played a better game.
If anything, Miami got ALL of the breaks from the game officials in game 5. In addition to missing the back court violation on Chalmers' half court shot, they also missed a couple of charges on Wade and several personal fouls. In fact, Wade hurt himself (allegedly) when he charged into a planted MAVS player (Cardinal), and the officials TOTALLY missed the call. (TV announcers agreed that they missed the call!)
I can't believe you're blaming Miami's game 5 loss on Wade's "injury". Wade was injured about as bad as I was. It's just dumb to even bring that subject up.
HD
Wade played 5 minutes less than his average in game 5.
5 minutes.
The Mavs have gone through stretches where they haven't been able to miss all playoffs long. It's up to the Heat to stop them. If they can't then they aren't the better team. How about in Miami when Lebron hit that ridiculous 3 before the half. Well guess what? JET hits shots like that all the time. But in your Miami Homer mind JET's shot was a fluke where Lebron's wasn't. Homer. Truth is both players have shown an ability to nail shots like that in the crunch. If you have watched the Mavs in the playoffs you would know that stretch has been common. Did it against the Lakers, Blazers and Thunder. And now they had a stretch like that against the Heat. Got news for you, when it happens in 4 straight series, it's not a fluke.
Now you are acting like the exact same thing you are complaining about. We can play the "if" game as well. If the Mavs make the shots they made all year we might win game 1. Dirk had a great look in game 3 if he hits that shot we might win in OT. If we make the shots we typically make game 2 is a blowout and game 3 doesn't come down to the last second shot by Dirk.
The reason you some of your posts are so assinine is you act like the Heat are inexplicably playing terrible and the Mavs are running on all cylinders. They aren't.
You fail to take into account that the Mav's might be the reason the Heat aren't playing so well. You fail to take into account that the Mav's aren't playing good offensively either. While the Big 3 have high standards, in our losses we aren't getting anything from Terry, Barea, Peja, Haywood, Etc... Kidd was held scoreless the other night. Caron Butler isn't even playing.
The bottom line is this is the NBA Finals. If the Big 3 can't perform up to their potential here then the Heat aren't as good as you thought they are. Because whatever they do, that's what they are. If they win this series they are the best team in basketball. If they don't, they aren't. No B.S. No excuses. You already drastically underestimated the Mavericks and the Mavericks defense in particular. Now you are already starting in with the "if's"
.......Sounds like you are already making excuses.
If I were a Mavs fan, I wouldn't be too excited yet.
Wow Dirk, brutal so far. He needs to come out and shoot a lot during halftime. Well, the Mavs are up by 2 at half. They need to get Dirk going if they are going to win, though.
How 'bout 'dem MAVS!!!!!
HD
That was a hell of a game and a hell of a series.
Dirk is the MVP of the series, but JJ Berea is the MVP of today's game. Good to see Dirk get his revenge against the Heat and get his ring (Kidd too).
The best of all is the world will get to see David Stern be forced to hand a championship trophy to his nemesis, Mark Cuban.
