They had one good pitcher. That's it! Other than that, they were just a good team. Certainly not #21.
Frenso State is ranked No. 20 in the latest coaches poll.

They are 2-0 vs. Oregon State, a team hosting a regional.

OF Dusty Robinson is projected as a 5th round pick, and RHP Derek Benny is projected as a 9th round pick.

They also have several veterans from the 2008 national championship team like Danny Muno, Jordan Ribera, and Garrett Weber.

Just going on what I saw in Ruston. I will say they are well coached and disciplined. That means a lot with the new bats. Can't have players making their own decisions when forced to play small ball.

Texas had to scratch out a run in the bottom of the 9th to stay alive and eliminate Texas State in Austin this afternoon. Texas State lost three close games to the Longhorns this year.

And in Fort Worth, it will be either Dallas Baptist or Oral Roberts advancing to the Super Regionals. DBU beat TCU last night, and ORU knocked the Frogs out this afternoon. DBU or ORU will play the Houston Regional winner (Baylor with the inside track).

And back to the thread title subject...the best team in Louisiana would be the team that advanced farthest in the NCAA Tournament. Oh, that's right, there weren't any Louisiana teams in the NCAA Tournament. Sounds familar like men's basketball.

Wow....what kind of budget does Dallas Baptist have?

We played them in soccer when I was at Tech.

We played them in baseball when I was there. Luke Burnett had a great day in the first game and struck out a bunch of them starting with the first six, as I recall.
