    can't believe i missed this thread the first time around. i'll have to go check out stingaree some time.

    the best oysters i ever ate were at a little place across the street from baybrook mall that closed down about a month after the first time i ate there.

    the best tex-mex i ever ate is at el tiempo.

    Best oysters I have ever had were from the Puget Sound. They have at least 17 varieties there. Served with champagne mignonette.

    It's the clams from Puget Sound, with a little melted butter and garlic, that are the best. But yes their cold water oysters are awesome as well.
    I've lived there twice as a child and remember them well.
