Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”
I'd put it in a category that includes handing out roses to the Techsters in Reno, watching my team win Game 2 of the World Series and/or Game 7 of the ALCS, Talladega Nights, and my hole in one. The Scatterload is less a BBQ sandwich and more "love" in a sourdough bread.
At least that's my opinion.
i can actually remember the first time i had crawfish. we were living in ruston and my dad was transfered with Chevron to Metairie. After school was out we went down to visit before we moved down and he brought some crawfish to the hotel. I was 9 years old and it was love at first bite . . . .
Best steak I ever ate was a ribeye at Poor Paul's (the place caught fire & went out of business years ago) in Alexandria, LA.
I'll never forget it.
Best calzone I ever ate was at some family operated hole-in-the-wall in downtown Philadelphia, PA.
SUPERB !
Best chili size I ever ate was at someplace in Norwalk, CA. I'm drooling right now just thinking about it.
Best Sicilian pie I ever ate was at a family operated place in Saratoga Springs, NY. I went there quite often.
SPLENDID !
Best bbq I ever ate was at the original Luther's in Houston, TX. I could walk to it from where I lived in the Galleria area, and my mouth used to literally water while I strolled over.
My favorite queso comes from Casa Mexicana in Sherwood (or NLR).
Ever try it, Champ?
Best Fish & Chips (and Chowder) was at The Black Dog Tavern in Martha's Vineyard, Mass.

Best Udon in the world comes from a little place tucked back on Rokko Mountain.
Fun question to ponder, kinda interesting to see what dishes comes to mind.
Best BBQ Ribs: Central BBQ in Memphis, be sure to go to the original on Central Ave in Midtown. Go where the locals go, and don't waste your time at Rendezvous, it's a tourist trap.

They're fast and cheap (labg). Food is really good.
That looks good.
I've probably had Fish & Chips 3-4 times in my life. The best I had was in Ft Worth (yes, land locked probably flash frozen shipped cod fish), but it was pretty good. I'm not a baller yet like Dawgpix going to places like "Martha's Vineyard". :icon_wink:
