    Women's Sports

I know we were discussing getting rid of bowling and adding swimming/diving but why not this?

Why not scrap Title IX and let women's sports exist at their natural level - intramural.

Why not scrap ALL sports and let them exist at whatever self-funded level they can. That makes the most $ense.

No, if you did that there'd be no reason to go to college!

Let's hope that this movement catches on--men telling women to return to their proper "place."

Let's hope THIS movement catches on - let all programs seek their true level of support without government mandates.

Been there done that. WBB filled Memorial with lines outside due to WINNING on a national level at the highest level. Could have had that in MBB, as well, if we would have kept Eagles. That is true support. TV revenue is something different.

Or without support from the university's general budget? Which programs would that leave?

Let popular demand decide what gets supported (or not). There is no excuse for government mandates. To be told that if I want to construct a men's athletic facility I also have to build the same facility for women is outrageous.

Well I like it GD. Not much is sexier than a woman with a gun - or golf clubs.

Rifle and pistol competition shooting is a wonderful sport that should be fully adopted at the collegiate level.

Many of the LPGA members are now pretty good looking and most of them are not from the USA. We are missing out on women's golf in our universities.

Just wondering where you recruit for this? Camp Pendleton, Camp Lejeune, Twentynine Palms, and Quantico?

Shooting is not a CUSA sponsored sport, unfortunately. On a related note, I wonder what ODU will do with their field hockey and lacrosse teams since CUSA does not sponsor those either?
