Rioters in England justify thier are ctions

Several reporters have spoken to rioters in the UK and asked them why they are doing this. Several said it was because the people they target are "rich". Another said that they were "getting back their taxes".

UK has free healthcare, a very very generious long-term unemployment benefits. I believe that thier entitlement programs has fostered a generation of people who feel that they "deserve and are owed" a nice lifestyle. I'm worried that the same type of attitudes could happen here in the U.S.

Many people on government subsidies believe that the gov't owes them something and that they are entitled to a nice house, car, cell phones, designer jeans, etc. They watch Jersey Shore, and other reality tv shows and believe that they should live the same type of life. I speak about this from personal experience as I have family members who "choose" not to work, live off the government. They believe that their personal situation was not of their making and take no responsibility in their current situation, and take no responsibility in trying to get themselves out of that situation. Instead they spend much of their time complaining about how bad they have it, and how to "work the system" to get more money for nothing...

What we're witnessing in England is a preview of what we'll see here once we're finally forced to cut spending on welfare programs. When that begins, having a sizable investment in precious metals, most notably lead, will be something one won't regret.

the Rodney King riots lasted 6 days. In that 6 days 54 people were killed and 700 million dollars worth of property damages. The riots were pretty much only in La. Now imagine what's going to happen if you cut well fare and SSI all at one time.

Many Many Many families in poor areas that depend on that income for lets say SSI disability and SSI from A grandparent. Angry youth where those bottom feeders have a family with six under 20 yr olds getting an SSI check. It won't be funny. Once the riots and looting get going it won't stop and it will be nationwide.

The riots in Great Brittain highlight the fundamental problem with socialism and the welfare state. Once you have a significant percentage living off the government for a period of time, they come to see their government subsidies as a right. If the government is not going to take from the productive members of society to subsidize their pitiful lives, they will take matters into their own hands, all while truly believing that they have the moral right to do so. After all, liberal politicians have been telling them for years that the rich guy down the street is the cause of their destituteness.

Population Control? Do you mean by increasing or decreasing? Because it seems to me that the more people dependent on government, the more the population grows because of the added benefits.
