Typical Luke. Bonehead plays wrapped around perfect passes.

Now I remember why he drove me nutso! Ya never know, play to play, what you're gonna get. Beautiful pass? Or a decision that leaves you scratching your head?

Luke did a good job of managing the game. He made a great pass to basically clinch the game, though the Jags had some questionable playcalling at the end. I hope he starts to open it up more, but keeps his decision making solid.

Like dawg 80 said, he has a tendency to make a Romo play due to his confidence in himself. You want a QB to be confident, but know the situation and be smart about it.

They used to say the same thing about Favre, but the Pack stuck with him and they won the Super Bowl.

Luke's always been a gunslinger no doubt. I liked him, especially at Tech. You have to have a dynamic QB at a school like Tech. His true test will be next week versus the Jets.

VERY true. Dooley never got that. Either that or he never understood that dynamic QB's don't want to be game managers at a non-AQ. Will one sign with UT/USC or Bama for a chance to win a MNC? Yeah. But they aren't going Non-AQ unless they can wing the ball. Luke wouldn't have come here to play in a run-first offense despite our Forestry program.

I hope they slowly open up that offense for Luke. He has a good arm and good wheels and they might be surprised at how well he does.

He wanted to treat us like an SEC school. Problem is that you cannot get the horses on D that you need, especially CB depth and DT depth. He thought he could change the pace of the WAC, isnt happening. All non-AQ schools that have made a splash have all had one thing in common, a potent offense. Some have played good D, Boise sure has turned into a good defensive team, but the offense is still there for the shootouts.

No but to the original point Andy Dalton was far more than a game manager. He was a playmaker. Dynamic QB's don't go to non-aq's to become game managers and Non-Aq's need dynamic QB's and playmakers to consistently make a splash on the national level. Give Boise Bama's playbook and see how well they do with it.

...and I think TCU is a little different than your normal non-AQ. I am pretty sure their football budget shames ours and probably some of the AQs.
