Great article! I am super excited to see how much he continues to improve. He has already shown me that we have a QB! We haven't had someone of this talent in a VERY long time. He already impresses - just think of this next year and the next 2 years after that. Need more receivers!!!!!!!!!!

The thing I like most about Isham is that I dont feel completely hopeless when it is 3rd and longer than 7. Ross just couldnt get those for us with any consistency or at all and Champion before him.
You are exactly right! The long ball is what is so exciting to me. Plus, his ability to make decisions on the field. He is truly something special and we are going to get to see him develop as the year goes forward - and for 3 more years after that.

Ok, but I still don't understand why somebody in Syracuse would write a piece on Nick Isham. There has to be some kind of correlation.
Maybe they want to schedule us home and home.
I think it is a good story to write. To have a 17 yr old start the very first game of the season is incredibly rare, even rarer at the qb spot. The author is probably someone who enjoys off the beat stories .
I am sensing the same type of man crush developing with some of our fans as the Brady Quinn crush by Mike Golic. Not to say that I am not excited as well. However, I don't want to date the guy.
Robert Redford is probably this writer's god-father, too.
He's probably a smart young man who sees a story on the national scene nobody else sees. Hopefully his byline won't get caught up with a one-man blog band.
It IS interesting he knew about NI unless he thoroughly reads the national wires.

This is great!! I get people all the time asking me about NI. They know I'm a TECH diehard and they keep hearing about this 17 year old who has got some guts! That's a really nice feeling having a QB other school's fans are interested in.
Actual reporting is so rare these days that a genuine good article is written and people think that the only way it could have been written is if there is an angle.
