Yeah Detroit has owned us the last couple of years. While I usually cheer for the Yankees to lose, I'm not so sure this time.
Tampa fights hard, has a great manager and good pitching and we all know pitching wins championships but it sure is tough when you hit in the .240's as a team. Tough with their finances but if they could get a couple of killas in the middle of their lineup it sure would make a big difference. As a Ranger fan there just wasn't really anyone in their lineup that really scared me when they came up to bat.

This will be a great series. Both teams have good guys to throw at each other. Both teams get streaky and hit like crazy. Gonna be fun to watch.
Verlander! Tomorrow's game is as big as it gets for the Rangers and the series.
Great game last night, felt like the Tigers were just holding on for the last few innings and got lucky, in my opinion. If the Rangers can win game one at their park, I think they win it easy. If they let Verlander win it for the Tigers, it will be long series.
3-2 Hello Win Column Beat Verlander, game 1 HUGE! Bullpen was awesome last night and was just a great game and win.
I think the Rangers really needed that Game 1. Needed to get one win off of Verlander during a series in which he might pitch 3 games. Now I feel a lot better. I also think Texas has a deeper bullpen which could end up paying big dividends as the series stretches on. It has been pouring here all day long. I have friends in Dallas who haven't seen barely a few drops but it has been non-stop closer to Ft. Worth. Not sure about Arlington but I hope the game gets played tonight with no delays!
