ECU said along time ago they would put their Olympic sports in another conference if they got 'football only'. This would also solve any angst with the MWC folks between us & Utah State!

Let's hope this happens and the merger goes through with UTEP & USU headed to the west side and we jump into ECU's spot!

I would speculate that once Navy is on board (no pun), AFA will be told that it's time to fish or get off the pot.

If Air Force declines, then Temple is up to bat.

Navy to the BE is basically a done deal. It has even been reported on the radio up here as such. Just a matter of details and timing. Guess that means they are going to have to add one more. Temple, ECU, Memphis, or something completely out of the box and totally unexpected like ODU or Buffalo?
