I don't like the way we play defense and haven't liked it for some time. However, without 2 turnovers for 7 each, we probably could have won that game. If we score instead of turning it over, that is a 14 pt swing. Our defense didn't lose that game, as much as our special teams didn't help win it.

Yea, I never cared for the bend but don't break style of defense either. But we definitely need better athletes on D if we want to change to an attacking style defense. I think the reason our db's sit in zone coverage so much is because we don't have the athletes in the secondary to match up with a lot of the receivers we play.Take away the two quick turnovers for touchdowns and we have a different ballgame.

Our return teams have done ok this year other than the goof up with the lateral saturday. I think maybe that was a stupid play by the player and not a coaching decision. How many returns have our special teams allowed this year? How many blocked kicks have we had? Not trying to be a smart @ss just haven't paid much attention to our special teams.
