Just received a tweet from @espn977: "Confirmed by our very own Nick White. Wright Waters resigns as commissioner of the Sun Belt Conference."

Can't find anything else on it. If true, and I have to believe it is, what does it all MEAN?

It means, the SB presidents put pressure on the Commish. Same thing the WAC presidents need to do. Karl needs to be next.

And he seemed to do okay with what he had. He kept the conference solvent, kept the Arklatex schools from bolting to the WAC, and brought WKU in under their banner when I had assumed that they would go to the MAC. Besting Benson may not be that much of an achievement, but he created what seemed to be as good an atmosphere as can be expected with what he had to work with.
