Am I behind on this, or did Tulane's coach just resign? I just saw a tweet from "college football rumors" on ESPN, saying that Tulane's naming an interim head coach since Toledo resigned.

The coach should have stayed and let the football program resign......
The entire program should resign....
They are moving fast to get in the Hudspeth race...

Trying to make themselves as attractive as possible for the Big XII
Regarding Hudspeth. I know he has his eyes on the SEC. So, whatever the next job is from the Cajuns it will have to be one that helps him get to the SEC. I don't know if he can win enough at Tulane to get the call to the SEC. Tulane is a tough football job. Although if they stay in CUSA and SMU, UH, and UCF all leave, they become much more likely to succeed.
Slappy don't worry now -
I'm sure Nutt will vacate the Ole Miss job pretty soon and then you can REALLY worry....
Tulane is a DEATH TRAP for any coach not named Tommy Bowden

FWIW, Toledo had already said that he was retiring at the end of the season.
All of you would $h:t a brick if they announce Leach as the new coach!!
Boone and Nutt will both be gone at the end of this season.
No program needs Leach right now more than Tulane. And they can likely get the money that Leach would require. The question is whether or not Leach would want to step into that situation and whether Tulane is too bull-headed to realize that they need Leach. I suspect they might look at him the same way that Tech's administration did (though for different reasons).
University of Houston '01. Any references to "we" or "us" likely refer to UH. Cheers!
