I wonder if Fedora does leave, if USM would look at somebody like Leach or Hudspeth? Or would they go for a young coordinator from a top school?


If I had to hire a coach right now, these guys would be at the top of my list (in no particular order)

Monken - OC Oklahoma State
Leach - Out of work
Harsin - OC Texas
Smart - DC Alabama
Venables - DC Oklahoma

That may be true, but I have a hard time believing the part about Herbstreit being on staff. He actually moved his family from C-Bus to get away from the Buckeye crazies. I just don't see him giving up his sweet ESPN gig to be an assistant coach.

Probably nothing more than a smart PR move by U.M. to endear OSU fans early.

The chemistry on the set of GameDay is unreal. Herbie is very good at his job too. I bet you ESPN would fight to keep him.

I call BS on this one. Herbie does not have the coaching bug like alot of commentators. Urban may end up at OSU, but not till after all the NCAA stuff goes away.
