    Food For thought

How much is your vote worth??? Can it be bought with a fish fry? How about a hamburger lunch? Steak good enough for you?

Just remember, if a candidate is shallow enough to believe that your vote is worth a battered filet, he might be shallow enough to succumb to the same bribe in Baton Rouge. Not telling you who to vote for, just telling you that your vote is worth more than lunch. And remember, we want people down there who help turn our state and economy around so we can buy our own fish plate.

Just curious, what prompted you to post this? Have you been approached to attend a weenie-roast, in exchange for your vote?

A fish fry is not so much to buy a vote as to gauge how much of a chance you got in the upcoming election. IMHO

no 80, it was not a weenie roast. In my line of work, I deal with the public daily. Many of them believe that the first community gathering is one of many to come should they vote for a certain candidate. I am not referring to this past election. Just stating that the same that was true of our last presidential election (promises that voters would be "taken care of") could be true on the local level as well. Those voters I am referring to were voting based on perception of a candidate rather than knowledge. I know most on this board are more intelligent than to believe this, but maybe not all.
