Rummel's top two offensive stars, Damian Williams and J.J. Brown are hobbled with ankle injuries, and that didn't help. Although had nothing to do with Byrd making big plays. Thought the punt return was HUGE. Have to wrap up when tackling.

Rummel played very well and had an exceptional turnout for the game. At times, it seemed as though both teams were trying their best to give the game away. We were worried for awhile as our qb was hunched over the trash can throwing up. He seemed to get over it, though. Rummel had some good speed as well. I think the single most advantage Byrd has over most teams is the fact that over half the team are seniors and do a great job as leaders and never giving up. This is the first game that Byrd hasn't started off slowly, and it's a good thing because we would never have been able to come back on this team. Looks like we head to Carencro next weekend. Anybody need me to bring them something back?

Well, well...look at the yellow jackets just as I had predicted. The question is how will Byrd react to playing a real "road" game in a very hostile environment. I wish I could be there for this one, it should be a good one.
