It's not inconceivable the liberal W. Post would like those who have had enough with obammer, to sit next year out thinking Romney's a socialist too. The Post is probably on it's knees praying Paul will run as an independent, in which case there's no point in even having the election.
I would hate to vote for him even worse than I hated voting for McCain, but, if he is the R candidate I will have to- praying that doesn't happen!!!! He is my last choice of any candidate!!!!!

Wrong, the throw away vote is the third party vote- they simply can't win. ANYONE is better than what we have- unfortunately romney is only marginally better. And Paul would not be my choice either.
you're being too short sighted. you vote for romney and mccain and you tell the republican party that you're alright with that kind of candidate. vote third party and you send a message. only problem is there are enough people that will throw away votes on their favorite party that the message of voting third party is severely limited. you can change that by refusing to be a tool of fox news and vote for the best candidate rather than the network-approved candidate.

This is correct. The nomination of bad candidates will keep bad candidates being nominated in the future. Voting for a 3rd party is tough love for the Republicans. They will either wise up or go the way of the Whigs. When was the last time the Republicans nominated a really outstanding candidate? I would submit that it was Reagan, but even before that who was it? I understand the idea of voting for the Republican ticket, regardless of who they are, rather than the Democratic nominee, but to paraphrase, "If you vote for the lesser of two bozos, you are still voting for a bozo." I prefer to vote for someone, rather than against someone else. Find the candidate that most represents your views and vote for them, regardless of party affiliation. And yes, we can agree to disagree on this issue.
Ron Paul is a foreign policy whacko. Get a grip and keep an oar in the water people!
