Wolf Pack Nation....
I signed up on their website a few years ago to get the Tech game when we played them and I still get e-mails from them. Thought this was worth sharing since they are building this one as a "championship game". We need to spoil their plans!
Wolf Pack Nation,
It's this simple: Saturday's game against Louisiana Tech is a championship game. It's No. 1 vs. No. 2 in the WAC. A win gives the Wolf Pack, at the very least, a share of its second-straight WAC championship.
We need you for this one. As Coach Ault often says, "Half the team is on the field and the other half is in the stands." We need the stands rocking. We need a packed house come Saturday at 1:05 p.m. This will be the toughest conference game to date as the Bulldogs come to Mackay having just beaten an SEC team on the road and with five straight wins overall.
We've won five straight, too. But we have more than that. We have 16 straight wins at home, which is tied for the second-longest home winning streak in the nation. We've won 10 WAC games in a row. We've also won 10 WAC home games in a row. Those streaks are notable because they don't happen without you and a little bit of "Mackay Magic."
We have a chance to make history as we've never won back-to-back WAC Championships before. We have chance to do exactly that on Saturday. This game is not on TV so come on out to Mackay and help us make some more history in this "unofficial" WAC championship game.
You can get your tickets online and print from home today at NevadaWolfPack.com or simply call 775.348.PACK.
Saturday's game will also be part of Nevada and Nike N7's celebration of Native American heritage month. As part of that celebration, we've also got a special treat for you at Thursday's men's basketball game against Pacific.
Kenny Dobbs, widely considered the best dunker in the world, will perform at halftime of the game. Check out some of Kenny's impressive work by following this link follow this link.
Coach Carter's team nearly pulled off a huge comeback on Monday against UNLV and they're in need of a strong homecourt advantage at Lawlor against the Tigers.
There are two great events on campus this week. We can't wait to see you there.
Go Pack!
