Baylor and ChOklahoma each had over 600 yards of offense. This comes after watching high scoring games all year long. TT vs OU, OSU vs ISU, OU vs UT
Why has defense gone out of style over there? And we see three SEC teams ranked at the top....

You're so right, its a mystery as to why the B12 has abandoned defense!

Because defense may win games, but offense brings in the money. It's already established money is all these "schools" care about.
look at how much more positive we are since our offense is more flashy over the last 2 years.
Offensive players go Big 12, defensive players go $EC.
The Tech offense may have sealed the deal yesterday, but Tech defense is the reason they got a chance. Past Tech teams likely give up 35+ playing that same game, and it would have been a blowout Nevada win.

BD13 says Big12 defense is good.
I will give it to the Big 12 that they are the most explosive conference in football. Given the right situation, they can hang 40+ on most anyone in the country. It is fun to watch. I think the biggest thing is they play defense in spurts. Baylor played great D in the first half. Now, against a team that plays great defense for 60 minutes like lsu or bama, I don't think they can put up that many. They also couldn't stop an SEC offense like lsu or ark.
The biggest difference between watching an SEC game and a Big XII game this year is that the SEC game is guaranteed to put you TO SLEEP.
I've never been so bored in my life watching a football game as I was when I watched the LSU-BAMA game earlier this season (on DVR). No TD's, 3 or 4 missed FG's, sloppy play, etc..... But everybody wants to talk about how great the defenses were. Riiiiiight........
Okay........call 'em great defenses if you want. But for entertainment purposes, I still prefer football games with some scoring.
