I would think we would be a much better position to goto the I'Bowl. Can't we still trade out to go to Shreveport. More $$$$ for school and fans.

When you trade you still get the payout of the bowl that had picked you. For Tech to play Indy this year it will take Air Force losing to Colorado State, Houston losing to Tulsa, USM beating Houston in the CUSA championship game so that Boise would get an invite to BCS. Now if we landed the Hawaii Bowl & could swap with North Carloina it would be on. Seems highly unlikely though.

How many times do we have to explain that our school does not get that payout? The payout goes to the WAC. In addition, if we go to a non-WAC bowl, the payout has to be negotiated down to a lower amount because the published payouts are for the conferences under contract.Way to become informed before posting.

Maybe we should throw the game against NMSU so that we can play a lesser opponent in Shreveport.
