Idea to get more people to basketball games

many people have already mentioned about lighting up Wyly tower in blue lights, but how about we use this idea for basketball. The day of every basketball game, the lights that light up the outside of the TAC are changed to blue. Eventually market it out to people that when the TAC is lit up blue, a basketball game is taking place that night. I think it'd bring in a lot more students and lame fans. I know tons of students that don't even know when the next game is, now they have a huge lit up building telling them that there's a game that day.

the clock tower was originally designed to do that but maintainence didnt keep it up.

This is true. A couple years ago we had a large sign that was hung on the side of UP at the Tech Dr./Alabama intersection letting everyone know it was gameday. Not sure if they still have it tho. As for how many more poeple came to games because of that, I can't say.

Whole lot of truth in that statement...For 4 of the last 5 years we have basicaly been horrible in basketballHopefully by the end of the year we can see some real "light" at the end of the tunnel

As proven by the attendance at the NMSU game a couple of years ago... It was the most important game of the year, and we laid an egg.

Two decades since we danced....simple as that!
Had the #1 rebounder in the NCAA for a 3 year run and still no March Madness...in a sport with only 5 players and we can't go to the tourney with a 1st round NBA pick for 3 years???? Hell, our coaches over the last 20 years would have found away to miss the tourney with Michael Jordan on their team. Might as well hire me to coach, I could do as well! Sad!
