No mention of George Baldwin Jr. I know he has done quite well in Business and has made some sizable donations to TECH.

How about Bobby Price? He was at one time the President of the National Society of Professional Engineers. He taught Civil Engineering for years, and remains on the Engineering Foundation as a lifetime director. There are also too many engineering alumni to even think about putting them to a list. Several in oil and gas industry, construction industry, state and federal departments, private consulting, etc.

Re: What is it like to go to a school....

In 2001 when Rice came to Ruston, I was touring our Football Hall of Fame before the game, and there was a group of Rice fans in there. Heard one say, they sure are proud of their football history, to which another in their group said, at least they have a history to be proud of.

No, I'm not comparing Rice to TCU, although they share a lot of history together, but the point is, sometimes outsiders just don't know.

As for TCU, they have built a legit football program under Patterson, something to be proud of today. And I know this, they will be the best team we will face on Dec 21st! (okay, the only team....) Actually, joking aside, TCU is the best team we will play this year. Houston, Southern Miss, Miss State, and even Ole Miss are all "good" and Nevada and Utah State are nothing to sneeze at. I wish we were at full strength for this game, but injuries are part of football. This will be a big challenge, but if we wish to follow in the footsteps of Louisville, Cincy, Utah, Boazy, TCU.... then we need to step up.

As for Froggie, he/she/it gets jollies from being a pest. He/she/it doesn't represent the whole TCU fanbase. Rise above it. I would guess most of the TCU fanbase has some measure of class. And this poor fellow/lass/thing is starved for attention.
