Post your best 2012 football schedule
ASSUMPTIONS:
1) The OOC schedule will not change from what has already been announced. Bold print below.
2) The university will be closed the last 2 weeks of November for quarter break.
3) Tech will still be in the WAC this fall, for better or worse.
S1 - Lamar (6P)
S8 - @Houston
S15 - Rice (6P)
S22 - @Illinois
S29 - @Virginia
O6 - UNLV (6P)
O13 - bye
O20 - @WAC
O27 - WAC (4P) - HC
N3 - @WAC
N10 - WAC (4P)
N17 - bye
N24 - @WAC
D1 - WAC (2P) - DH w/mbb
That's if I were king ...

I'm fine with your schedule proposal, but I would change the kickoff time of the games in Sept to 7PM. :icon_wink:

Re: Post your best 2012 football schedule
Champ, I think your homecoming is too early in the season. The WAC home opener shouldn't be homecoming. We need the attendance boost later in the season. Also, we shouldn't play afternoon games before daylight savings (11/4).
QNG, I think 7pm starts are a little late for our fans that have to travel back home after our games. I think 6pm starts are best.
10/27 needs to be a home game because that's LSU's lone idle weekend.
I like the off weekend before WAC play starts, and I'd like an off weekend following finals week.
I originally had UTSA and Idaho switched, but UTSA has an OOC game scheduled for 11/10.
2012 LA Tech Football
9/1 vs. Lamar (6pm)
9/8 at Houston
9/15 vs. Rice (6pm)
9/22 at Illinois
9/29 at Virginia
10/6 vs. UNLV (6pm)
10/13 idle
10/20 at New Mexico State
10/27 vs. Utah State (6pm)
11/3 at Texas State
11/10 vs. Idaho (4pm) Homecoming
11/17 idle
11/24 at San Jose State
12/1 vs. UTSA (2pm)
