I watched the Denver/San Fran preseason game last night, and don't think Quinn got into the fray at all. I'm guessing his hand injury must have been involved. Hoping he gets some preseason reps soon.

According to this, he's finally able to catch some passes at practice. He'll have to make up some ground quickly in the remainder of training camp to secure himself starting spot. Which he will do, quickly. Can't wait to finally see him play.
He's certainly turning heads.

Patton, the 49ers fourth-round draft pick last April, isn’t letting an injury affect his first National Football League training camp.
"Quinton Patton sticks out on the Santa Clara practice fields for more than a few reasons."
That's how Andrew Pentis began an interesting article about the '49ers rookie on a 8-15-2013 49ers.com post.
And he listed the reasons: jersey number and color; personality and "catching the balls coming his way – with one hand" and that's “even though he hasn’t been cleared to catch balls."

I believe Q will get a lot of playing time this weekend.
Patton is in a great situation since 49ers WR depth chart is very weak for a playoff team
this is the weekend for quinton --- several articles say "he will PROBABLY make the team"- but needs to look good in pre-season. Pretty much same for Myles and Allen. Jordan is a lock and Broha on the bubble, Giants have a lot of DE on roster. Who did I miss?
I'm pretty sure Patton's got the starting job locked up. I read somewhere that only 15% of 4th round picks start.
