There was no good reason for Holtz to put Allen back in at QB after Anthony had established the momentum and brought Tech back except for trying to give Allen a chance for the win. There wasn’t much reason to put Anthony in after Allen was successful at leading to a score the first two drives either.
If he really wanted Allen to win the game for us, he would have put him back out on the last drive. And he didn’t, he put Anthony in. There was a clear pattern of getting them 2 drives each before swapping, and that changed for the final drive. He placed Anthony out there instead of Allen getting his second attempt in a row.
