WSJ Rankings
WSJ just dumped their database for 2022 college rankings.
of course Tulane dominated. LSU was a distant second.
LaTech and ULL - in a dead tie for 2nd in state public. Xavier and Loyola were higher total than tech or ULL.
LaTech leads the entire state in engagement but comes in dead last in environment which make our total outcome plummet.
LaTech slaughters ULL and LSU in the survey section - in fact LaTech had the best survey results of all schools on the state….by far.
La Tech is way behind LSU on academic spending per student.
Tech needs to research the environment rank. If they could fix this, Tech would be much close to LSU overall. That said, the academic spending per student will keep us out of the top 300.
ULM was not ranked. Centenary is ranked but won’t let me include them in the Louisiana roll up.
There needs to be 4 public universities in Louisiana:
Louisiana State University
University of Louisiana - Lafayette
University of New Orleans
Louisiana Tech University
It is somewhat embarrassing that our flagship university is ranked so low nationally. Shut down these other schools and get the 4 listed more money.
