We did the exact same thing with my son before he went off to A&M.. We paid out of pocket for his first two years. He graduated with his Masters in Geology with only 25K in loans.

Thank you, sir! This is exactly our goal, too. I'm giddy thinking about paying only $4000 for my daughter's first two years of college.
