Both of these teams have pretty good records. Harnish is STILL at NIU, and he's only a junior. He has to be 28 years old by now. I'm interested to see this game. I've heard stories that both teams can be pretty salty at times. Anybody else watching?

Watching, Northern Illinois is 7-2 right now. Seems like every year they put out a good season of late. I'd kill for that consistency year to year.
I think this game is for 1st place in the MAC.
Yeah, they look like they're pretty good at what they do. Not gonna set the world on fire, but I can see how they're 7-2 with that schedule.
As they're going over NIU's starting lineup, I'm noticing a LOT of guys from Florida. Not exactly down the street... Wonder which coach has the ties to FL?
Tech just mentioned as the announcers discussed Boise/TCU BCS theories. Both agreed that Creer may have single-handedly dismantled Boise's BCS hopes.
I heard as I was folding clothes, my head peered over...
They do recruit a lot down here. On a couple of guys they offered the same kids we offered.
I commented just that on another thread and I completely agree. Boise has a lot of holes that I think any one of TCU, Auburn, or Oregon would take advantage of. A matchup with Auburn would probably be the highest scoring with AU winning late.
By the way, 3 season in a row that NIU will go bowling. They have only gotten better since we played them. Toledo on the other hand, has fallen off the map over about the last 2 years. That just goes to show how hard consistency is in college football.
TCU would decimate Boise. Oregon and Auburn would outscore them, but not completely dominate, imo. All 3 have better athletes I think also.
Gotta hand it to NIU, Coach Kill and all the guys. They've put together a good stretch, I agree. Toledo is definitely overachieving this year, as they're showing in this game so far. But they're going bowling too, so their fanbase can't complain after the past few years of being on the Bottom 10 pretty frequently.
NIU's mascot is absolutely beautiful, btw. Nothing when compared to XX of course, but still a good looking dog.
Boise has all but about one starter back from the team that beat both Oregon and TCU last year. I don't think either of those teams would win easily against Boise.
Good old Memorial Gym
Boise and TCU would be mediocre at best in the SEC and possibly other BCS conferences.
