Fresno beat Illinois 25-23!

With a Hawaii win over UNLV tomorrow, I wonder if it will be enough to push the WAC ahead of the MWC...

That win ties Fresno with Utah with 17 wins vs. AQ teams, the most among non-AQs. (of course Utah will be an AQ soon, so Fresno will hold the record by itself).

Fresno is 7-3 vs AQs in their last 10 games, including 4-1 in bowls vs. AQs. Fresno has beaten Wisconsin, in a year they won the Big 10 championship and Colorado, a year they won the Big 12 championship.

Of course, Tech beat Bama in a year they won the SEC championship!

San Jose State won AT Illinois once too, in a year SJSU hardly won a WAC game!

Hawaii and Boazy have earned some AQ scalps too. But...Nevada....I may be wrong, but I have a feeling they haven't faired too well vs. AQs. (gonna check that) Nevada is 3-13 vs. AQs since 2000.

What's all that mean? Not much, other than there really is not that much difference between programs, and that the WAC has been "playing up" for years.
