Other students that get caught having premarital sex, while a student at BYU, also can and do kicked out from time to time. That is the risk you take when you go to BYU.

Regarding to Joseph Smith. He married, married women and 14 yr olds. He also got hitch with a mom and daughter. Dude was a sick playa.

While superficially true, that's not exactly comparable.
Most schools look the other way when a player breaks a rule until the season is over or the media reports it. Kudos to BYU for putting their honor code ahead of their aspirations for a deeper run n the NCAA tourney and most importantly $$$$
I'll try to reword that to make it a little clearer for you. Brigham Young ordered the murder of 120 men, women, and children by his followers just south of Salt Lake in 1857. They were murdered after they had called a truce. They murdered everybody except for the children under 7.

It could cost them the MWC tourny title, has already cost them a #1 seed, and quite possibly like you said, a trip to the Sweet 16 or better.
Davies was there inside game, and their best defender. Thats what you mainly need in the tourney. Fredete can't score 3- to 40 every game. Even when he does like against New Mexico they won't definately win.
