Sorento's here in San Antonio in Alamo Heights. They came from Sorento Italy and the crust is perfect, the sauce is so good you just want to drink it.

A tie with Sorento's is a small place in New Jersey across the river from Phili called Fratelli's. They don't speaky too much English but the pizza is simple but I crave it along with the Sorento's. They make an excellent cheese steak too.

I didn't even like sauerkraut until I married my Polish wife. Her sauerkraut with kielbasa and pierogies is outstanding.
I forgot about the sausage. Not a kielbasa but a polish wedding sausage I cook on the grill. You can get it at HEB here but for the real stuff you need to go to Castroville about 30 mi. west of San Antonio on Hwy 90 at a butcher shop called Dzuks. It comes with string tied around each end. Grill it up over charcoal (watch out because the fire is going to flare up as the fat starts to cook out). That sausage along with pierogies fried up in butter with onions a dollop of sour cream on each one and some sauerkraut is about as good as it gets. Had it last night with a few bottles of Dos XX.

The next time you are in Natchez, go under-the-hill to the Magnolia Grill and order the pork tenderloin po-boy....mmmm. The entire area has been protected by those makeshift levees, but they are taking them down soon, if not already. The river almost gobbled up all of Silver Street........

I like Hickory Hollow and Lyndon's here in Houston, both local places I believe.

Vic and Anthony's is a real good steak, along with Pappas Bros, here in Houston. Del Frisco's is legit.

Best crawfish I ever had was some hole in the wall in BR, dont even remember the name, it was like an abandoned DQ or something.
When I lived in Austin we used to go to The Salt Lick often. I was told the reason their BBQ sauce has a different taste to it is because the man that started it was a Vietnam vet that married over there and brought his wife back to Texas. They started the restaurant as a hole in the wall place and she came up with the sauce herself using asian spices.

For the best Texas BBQ you have to go to Lockhart. Kreuz's and Smitty's are the two big names, but Black's BBQ is my favorite.

Yeah the tater salad is German but the Cole Slaw is Asian.

Beautiful Hill Country, Deer running around everywhere, BYOB, Good country music, pretty girls, good food. Salt Lick rules.

Have you ever been to the old country store buffet in lorman, ms between natchez and port gibson. It has the best Fried Chicken I have ever had. The ribs are also very good.

I have never been to Luther's or another place called Thelma's. Thelma's is supposedly real good. You get a "sandwich" there, which is basically two bbq soaked pieces of bread wrapped around a pound of brisket. I have buddies who rave about it, but it is in the ghetto. Luther's is kind of out of the way for me, so I have never been.

The best donut I ever had is from the Spudnut Shop in El Dorado. Their donuts are made from potato flour. I think it's better than Krispy Kreme, Daylight Donut, or Shipley's.

    Had them and like them.
    Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”
