There's a sign out front that says it will be a "gourmet coffee" shop.
It's between where the Frothy Monkey used to be and Kitishian's.

Ok so this hint way back in post 25 fell through. The license request was finally denied. It was for a Cheddar's.Update on restaurants coming to Ruston:
Santa Fe Cattle Co. - Yes
Logans - Not looking good to probably not
Restaurant that must remain confidential but should excite everyone - being explored and is very likely
I'll disclose it as soon as I am allowed.
The person is looking now at another restaurant...with much healthier options.

I live in West Monroe now, so I really don't have many reasons to drive to Ruston to eat. I will eat if I am over there. I will drive to eat at Raw occasionally.
I was just trying to get a sample of what type of places the people of Ruston would request. I was talking with some friends, and I know that a lot of Ruston people get frustrated with a lack of options.
Living 3 hrs away, when I do come to Ruston I stay away from chain restaurants. I can get that anywhere. The local joints are what I'm drawn to (Dowlings, Dawghouse, Ponchatoulas, etc.)
If someone were to open a Five Guys or In-And-Out at the old Quiznos Tech Drive location, they would make an absolute killing. Very popular with the college age crowd and that's prime real estate for students. A burrito joint would also work there.
College students are willing to spend 11 bucks on a burger and fries?

if its 'hip', absolutely. they spend 50 bucks in Raw.
