Back to the thread: I'm listening to a lot of Cage the Elephant lately.
I was actually talking about Creed in that second post. But yes, Nickelback's "The State" was just good rock music. Nothing about how cool they were and how many hot chicks they had or what drug dealers they had on speed dial. Just good music.

Creed's My Own Prison album was great. If you hate Creed because of Scott Stapp, that's one thing. But don't say they didn't put out some awesome music.

I have to agree with ITdrummer - Creed's My Own Prison album is pretty decent. Torn, Ode, and the title's namesake My Own Prison are some of my favorites to listen to. They went downhill from there, sort of.

I think that Linkin Park's fall from album 1 to album 2 was MUCH worse than the other bands.

Nickelback's Silver Side up was a great album. Hater's gonna hate though.

Human Clay was pretty sorry though. Not quite as bad as Weathered.

Hybrid Theory was badass. Reanimation had some pretty good remixes. Meteora was meh... Now......they're just garbage. Only thing that is recognizable about their sound is Chester's whining voice.

I take exception with this song.

Re: What are you listening to Today?

IMO, Are you Ready, What If and Faceless man were very good songs. The rest...... meh.

For LP, I don't really count Reanimation as a second album. Although it was pretty awesome. Hybrid Theory is one of the best albums I've ever heard. Meteora had a couple good songs, but it seemed like the band went away from Mike singing/rapping and almost all to Chester screaming/whining (as you put it).

The Eagles, Nickelback and Creed are all reincarnations of the same crappy band. All of their catalogues are worthless, except to make fun of.
    Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”

The songs JuBru mentioned are excellent examples of what I was just saying. Comedy gold but otherwise worthless.

I just saw one HELL of an awesome live blues show on Saturday night! We say Guy Forsyth and his band at a jazz club called Luna, here in San Antonio. It was an awesome club, and his performance totally blew me away. We stayed for the whole 3-hour set, and bought a live DVD/CD combo set from him. He'll be back in San Antonio at Sam's Burger Joint I believe in October. You've gotta see this guy live!

I used to go to Casbeers on occasion for some live music, good food, and a few beers. I haven't been in a while though. I have heard of Luna but never been there.
