Echo up in here
Guys, we are not getting into Cusa.......
Our PR strategy to the conferences seem to be "we don't sweat much for a big old fat gal, so wanna dance?"
One thing to keep in mind. TCU will do everything in its power to keep SMU out of the Big East, the same way USF will do everything in its power to keep UCF out, as well. That's why Houston and ECU - in that order - will likely be the compromise candidates.
In the end, nothing has really changed over the past 18 months. Tech's fate depends on the Big East surviving as a football league after its raided. Other leagues have to expand slowly enough in order for the Big East to keep its head above water.
Yeah this thing is far from settled. I don't know why so many people are freaking out. Still several scenarios, hypotheticals, movements, alignments, etc to shake out.
It's being considered the same way the Big 12 was considering Notre Dame, Arkansas, and BYU.
The academies will be approached, but the question is whether or not they will say yes. Air Force would need to make arrangements for its non-FB sports. Navy has already said it's questionable with the lack of stability in that conference and their current commitments. Army is... well, of dubious value without the other two.
University of Houston '01. Any references to "we" or "us" likely refer to UH. Cheers!
