We played like a down team, but take away two mistakes in a one minute period and the pure luck throw-up touchdown on a very good defensive play and the rest of the game is seen in a different light.

I knew when Dykes said he had picked a true freshman to lead this team that we were in trouble. He will use that as an excuse at the end of the year after we have another losing record. He also said before the season started that we would have a good team next year. I still can't believe he said that. That was really stupid. It sounded like he was writing this season off.

What choices did Dykes have at QB? Let's see: a redshirt fresman qb who would probably be making some of the mistakes as Isham, or two Qb's that got chances last year and couldn't beat out Ross Jenkins. Hmm, who would you have chosen?

+1000. He just sits on the sidelines and lets the opposing offense run crazy on us. I will give him a little credit though. When the opposing QB throws the ball up in the air, Isham does look for the ball more than our DBs do.

Is it worth burning a RS on a 17 year old QB to be 1-4? If we started any other QB on our roster we would still have at least the same record. I think all incoming freshmen should RS, except for a few exceptions and Ishom is not one of them. We would be better off if we had even started Cameron. But started Ishom is the cutest thing that we can do. Hearing the announcers on TV talk about him just being 17 makes me want to throw up. When you are obviously playing for next year, play your other QB's, red shirt your freshman to let him get a little more weight and strength on him and another year of maturity and then go for it next year. But, as I have said before, if you have to start a true freshman at QB, that is a sad commentary on your program.
