Patton has the inside track for 1st-team all-WAC WR. He's 2nd in catches, 1st in rec. yards, and 1st in TDs. The only competition Patton has the 1st-team all-WAC is Royce Pollard from Hawaii (56 rec, 834 yds, 7 TDs) and maybe Rishard Matthews from Nevada (840 yards, 3 TDs).
Patton was, as mentioned, awesome on the field Saturday at Fresno. His play in the first quarter truly seemed to break the will of the Fresno secondary, and the fan base. What wasn't mentioned is that while the rest of the team celebrated and meandered towards the ramp to the locker room as the clock (finally) ran to zero, Patton ran back to the opposite endzone where we (the Tech crowd) were seated and gave us a thank you salute before joining his teammates. It's hard not to be a Patton fan - even if his play on the field wasn't as awesome as it has been this season...
dawgcrazy makes a great point. He is our most explosive player and is very humble, unlike TE when he played with Cangelosi and Rattay. TE will never mean anything for our school long term, but The General could be an ambassador for us for decades if we continue to appreciate him the way we should.
Does anyone have a link for the receiving records at Tech? Are they in the media guide?
Just imagine what Patton would look like if he had Rattay throwing to him.
Edwards had 140 catches and 1996 receiving yards. Patton is having a great year, but lets slow down talk about records! Edwards is up towards the top of most NCAA receiving categories thanks to his 1998 year. Which included that 21 catch day up at Nebraska.
Patton might have a chance to have the best season ever for a Tech WR not named Troy Edwards, but I doubt anyone will approach the records Edwards set in the late 1990s.
Patton has the most catches, receiving yards, and receiving TDs of any Tech wide receiver since 2002 (except for 2009 when TE Dennis Morris caught 12 TDs).
The non-Troy Edwards receiving records at Tech are 109 catches by J. Jordan in 2000, 1466 yards by C. Mackey in 1996, and 12 TDs by Dennis Morris in 2009.

Just press Ctrl + F and search for "Edwards"
James Jordan has had a pretty successful arena fb career, but appears to be having back problems. He is playing down in New Orleans for the Voodoo apparently. http://www.arenafootball.com/news/vo...ign-lj-castile
He is a pretty good blocker too.
