I have a late entry . . . . Nevada.
Everytime the endzone dwellers saw my cap last Saturday, they responded with apparently the only four words in their vocabulary: "F--- You, LA TECH!"

Agreed. Any fanbase who has a tradition of clapping for the opposing team as they come off the field shouldn't be on that list. They are a pretty classy and knowledgable fanbase. Auburn, A&M and Nebraska have some of the nicest fanbases around.

Not saying that they weren't nice, but the reason they were put on the list is because of their overwhelming condescension. Sure they clapped for Troy and Tim after the game, but it's an easy thing to clap for someone who has just set records against you when you totally bitch slapped the team and won the game. I agree with this author that Nebraska fans collectively have the biggest egos of most fans I've encountered. I said it back then, and I'll say it again. I doubt Colorado fans see the good side of the Cornhusker faithful. Now is arrogance and condescension a reason to be on this type of list? I don't think so, but I guess the writer does.

Who were the two teams playing several years ago where one of the fans was caught taking a crap on the fan of the the other school's belongings? I want to say it was a Big East match-up and involved WV, but not totally sure.

Yeah the WVU fans are way too intense. About 5-6 years ago, they came to UL and boo'd a special needs band player's solo, a cervical vaccine commercial and screamed "I F-d your mother" every time UL did something. Thinking I saw an anomaly, shared the story with co-workers and was told they chanted the same thing as the UL band entered the stadium. Keep in mind the game was in Louisville!

I was treated very well at Ole Miss. Four friends and I were walking to the grove and an Ole Miss student at a gas station told us to hop in the back of his truck and he drove us there. I guess it's a lot easier to be nice when your team is as terrible as theirs. Also, Miss State has some terrible fans. They like to ring those stupid cow bells right in your face

They typically clap for all visiting teams, win or lose, records or no records. The last time we played there under JB3 and we didn't set any records they clapped. It's just a nice tradition they have.

For me almost all AQ's are condscending. Like you said being condescending probably isn't a reason to make this list. To make a list like this I'm thinking they need to be LSU puking on people obnoxious rude. Or various levels of LSU rude.

I agree with this. He's not a very knowledgeable writer, as Auburn fans have pointed out. His list includes a lot of teams that gave his favorite team a recent slap-down.

I think the point is that any team that knocks your team out of title contention and your best player off Heisman watch is to be considered obnoxious. :icon_wink:

Agreed, nicest fans I've ever seen and I've been to a lot of different stadiums. I remember before the record setting game by Rattay and Edwards in Lincoln sitting in a sports bar with a few of my friends who shall remain unnamed were trying to stir up trouble with their fans. They just kept telling us "good luck today" and "hope it's a good game" etc. Before long we were all buying each other drinks. Everyone we ran into that day was the same just as friendly as they could be, even though they knew they were about to beat us.

I happened to be among a few lsu fans a couple of weeks ago and they were telling me how terrible Arkansas fans are. They said Arkansas fans were a bunch of drunk backward rude rednecks and that they wouldn't take their kids to a game in Arkansas. I told them they just described what every other school in the world thinks of lsu. They looked at me like I had 3 heads. Completely clueless.

Quick story...my former boss's daughter went to the UK / Georgia game last week and Georgia fans slashed her tires on her car...terrible she had her car marked UK though.
