Kindergarten Day

In 1840 Friedrich Fröbel opened the first Kindergarten in Germany as a program for transitioning young children from the experience of being at home to the experience of being in the classroom. The Kindergarten day is made up of story time, nap time and snack time. As adults, we know it doesn't get much better than that.

In 2000, the people of France decided they liked picnics so much, they had a 600-mile long picnic that stretched from coast to coast. Now that's a lot of baguettes.

Anyone who's ever tried to repair a toilet on their own knows the value of a good plumber. As in, a plumber costs less than replacing a water damaged bathroom floor, buying a new pair of shoes, and springing for the family to spend the weekend in a motel.
