BPCC and SUSLA can offer remedial courses on the merged campus because Tech is not allowed to.
It sounds like the amendment includes the timeline of the merger implementation plan.

Rep. Broadwater:
Question on Timeline: How will we work together with SACS to ensure that we do this right?
Dr. Moffett (President of UL System) coming up to address the question...
Dr. Moffett:
Haven't had a chance to read the amendments yet.
Within SACS this is a two-step process. We've had talks with the SACS President last year during the UNO/SUNO process. Don't get in front of the SACS process.
The transfer of LSUS into the UL System would occur first, and then the merger. Mergers are ongoing with schools in the State of Georgia.
We want to check the wording of the bill with SACS. The spirit of the bill is on target.
I think we can work out any problems that may arise on the amendments.
Michael Woods, Brian Bond, and Dapper Dan... up for comments.

The amendments by Rep. Carmody have been adopted with no objection.
Michael Woods, Brian Bond, Dan Reneau...come on down. You're the next speakers before the committee.
Damn feed keeps freezing up, who are Mike Woods LSUS Alum of year, LSUS Pilot of the year, LSUS Adjunct Prof, etc etc,
Mike Woods throwing down the financial facts. Good Job
Brian Bonds LSUS grad Shreveport Commerce? Also supporting, from the side of meeting the business needs with grad degrees.

Dr. Reneau up.

Dr. Reneau:
The merger proposal is at least the 3rd time that a merger of LA Tech and LSUS has been recommended since Dr. Reneau has been Tech President.
UC-Berkeley, Case Western, and Dillard University cited as successful mergers.
Dan Reneau sounds like the white version of Morgan Freeman...

"I don't want to brag about where we are, because we want to go further" Get 'em.
Video won't play for me here at the office. Thanks to those of you giving the play-by-play.
That was a badass speech by DR.
