Somebody from one of the chambers of commerce just spoke in favor of the merger.
3x reigning LSUS Professor of the Year and LEAD Director Wayne Hogue speaking now.

James Collier (sp?), Former UL System President and Excecutive Director of the Taylor Foundation (TOPS) representing himself and Phyllis Taylor (founder of TOPS), speaks in support of the merger.
He supported the merger in 1994 and supports it again.
This merger will save costs.
The state can't afford to make LSUS a research university.
He called ULM "Northeast"!!!!

Lo Walker, Mayor of Bossier City, is speaking in support of the merger.
He is also speaking on behalf of Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover who cannot be here yet. Cedric may make it later.
Mayor Walker talking about cyber innovation and research. Says it needs Tech.
