It's a miscarriarge of justice if Troy is not in the LA Tech HOF. He helped placed our entire football program on the map and/or kept LA Tech relevant at the time. Please give the man his due. He was the best wide receiver in all of college football his senior year. He was also dominate as a schoolboy out of Shreveport. And he chose to play ball @ Tech. Just for that he should be honored!

According to his Wiki, his last season playing any sort of football was in 2007 with the Grand Rapids Rampage in the AFL.
Hey you brought it up within the context of this discussion. Anyway, there are always things that someone can do that will require the university/organization to sever ties with a person. Did someone say Sandusky? Second Mile shutting down and Penn State will probably take a huge hit for being associated with that piece of garbage. It is a relative judgement, though, and it does not surprise me that Tech would have a pole up its butt as we do about most things, and we would be far too conservative on character issues and a sports Hall of Fame.
Troy Edwards was the most exciting and dominant player I've ever seen in a Tech uniform in any sport.
Troy kept asking that Nebraska DB why his coach was the only person in the whole stadium and watching on TV that didn't know he couldn't cover him and that he was about to get burned again.
There were in fact a few times Troy told him what route he was going to run. Told him he wanted to help to keep him from looking so bad on national TV.
If you know Troy, you know this was true. My cousin- in-law was on the field with him.

I randomly met his father last year in Belcher, LA. After talking 10-15 mins with the gentleman, its hard to believe Troy is "as bad as advertised". Nice man. I thought about personally giving him a ticket or two and asking them to come to the A&M game.

As for Edwards, I was an asshole when I was 20. If I happened to be the best 1A reciever in the nation at the time, I couldn't even imagine..
I am not stating my position, but...
Troy was as good an a$$ as he was a D1 receiver.
Then he was a hell of an ass. A first-round ass. Should we remove his highlights from the Dawgzilla?
