Has anyone knocked on doors in that area? It is possible that a little old lady saw him wandering around and felt sorry for him, so she took him home. People do things like that all the time. If an older person has him, then it is unlikely that he/she has a twitter account or reads this site. In that case, the dog could be in good hands, but no one knows it.

Another possibility is that the dog is looking for a cool place to lie down. Bulldogs overheat pretty quickly and he might be under a house, in a barn, could be in a lot of places, but I doubt he would have travelled very far on his own.

It's very possible Stray, but I suspect that if an older person has taken him in, they would still have contact with the outside world and would know what's going on. This is BIG news here in Ruston, and we all know Ruston ain't that big of a town.

I wasn't going to post it, but I can verify that account. I thought it was just a couple of isolated events when I was in, but apparently it wasn't.

I drove by once several months ago and he was walking down Kentucky right beside the road easily a hundred yards away and making good time. He could have been to the creek in 10-15 minutes. I stopped in the office and told the receptionist the bulldog was running off.

Someone would have seen him before he got to Hwy 33 or 167 and will call in if it gets publicized well that he is missing. A thorough search would find him hiding or the body. Otherwise someone took him.

Lots of places he could be around here I live just down the road off of Kentucky and went and looked around. I will bet he is in that creek bed holding water running past Cedar Creek School. I thought about finding some rubber boots and walking the creek bed from the bridge on E. Kentucky back towards the Vet. I went up there and got some flyers and NBC 10 was up there doing an interview. Anyways if he is still living he is around water somewhere if he was not picked up.

my parents live right there on that corner where Kentucky meets Cedar Creek. My dad looked all over yesterday and he wasn't out there. Could be now, but he wasn't then.

There is a dog breeder on Frazier Rd., just west of Cranfords Chevron on the corner of Farmerville Hwy. I cannot remember the name of it but I've seen the sign out front of a mobile home and cages everywhere. Someone should swing by and ask if they have heard of anyone aquiring a bulldog. They aren't that far from Sexton if someone was to pick Tech up. Worth a shot.

It is around that time for dogs to start getting in heat. Maybe it's possible, but I sure hope not with this heat the way it is.

I wondered that myself. If I'm not mistaken, UGA is always from the lineage of the previous UGA so as to try to produce an offspring that continues to look the same so when a new mascot is chosen, it will be same. I assumed Tech and other schools with live mascots had the same practice.
