I'm with you and 009...
It's a sad sad day. The way to move forward is to honor XX and find XXI. We need a "mobile" habitat (like UGA's that was pictured earlier). That way it can come with him to away games for tailgating if not on the field. I see the house with AC on the back of a trailer with a ramp tailgate, turf, fire hydrant, all the necessities. We also need a dog. Surely there is a breeder out there with some good looking pups that are ready. It only takes $ and there are plenty of people on this board who can put their money where their mouth is! If we all kick in $100 it won't take long to get what we need.

My suggestion
Going with the Legend of the Bulldog story, I want us to select five students to be the mascot handlers. We should buy or build a house near campus for the students/mascot. We'll have a faculty member to be the head of this Mascot program. He/she will routinely check on the students and bulldog mascot.

See that's exactly what I'm thinking about! The Pope has the Pope-mobile, Tech XXI should have the Tech-mobile! I am getting very serious about this idea! Any help on ideas and funding if its approved would be a huge help! And if anybody has any idea of who I would need to talk to to get the ball rolling would be a big help as well!

The story about this is all over the nation.

I understand that Dr Sexton didn't actually let the dog out; that it was an employee. Here's the problem wI have with not assigning any blame to Dr. Sexton. Would this person have been so negligent if they knew that letting Tech out was not accepted? There have been many reports, and I have seen myself firsthand, how they routienly let Tech wander out of the clinic with no supervision. In my opinion, people will act how they think you will allow them to act. Dr. Sexton obviously allowed this negligence to happen while he was there, so naturally those employed by him had no problem with following SOP when he was gone. He fostered this lackadasical environment, so is equally culpable in all but the cover up. In my opinion.
