Well I am going to try to get in contact with a few of my professors tomorrow and try to get the ball rolling. In all reality, the most expensive part of the project would be the A/C, the materials wouldn't be that staggering. Heck, we could even go Green and use recycled materials!

Maybe you could use some of the old floor from memorial gym.
You're right the A/C will be the most. Unless there is enough funding to maybe even use solar panels to power his house so it could go to any function "off the grid" without a loud generator.
That would be a fun project.
Haha thinking the same thing on the solar panels! I just got done talking with one of my professors and he is 100% on this idea. He is going to give it some thought and then bring it up Monday to the rest if the staff. I will start writing a program, a list of requirements for the project, and I think we could hold a competiton of sorts when we get back to school to come up with the final design. Then go into construction, which shouldn't take to long.
From what I've seen on the internet, A/C units for dog houses run around 600 dollars.
We don't need any fancy specific "dog-house a/c unit". Just your everyday, run-of-the-mill window-unit would be just fine.

Could it be a mobile dog house so it could travel from event to event with the puppy always being in comfort?

I'm all for looking at a healthier breed of bulldog...
''Don't be a bad dagh..."

I'm sure there's some COES students and faculty who'd love to help with the electrical and A/C parts of the project.

I like the idea of modeling it after an old building on campus. Maybe Old Main?
Yes I was thinking the same thing, something that is easily transportable. As far as the overall look of it, I don't want to make any suggestions. I think the best thing to do will be to maybe start a new thread here to take suggestions, then when school starts I think we will hold a design competiton both in the architecture school, and take suggestions from other students, then the final design will be approved by the 16th floor.
