    Old 8mm film to DVD

I have some old 8mm reels I would like to get restored and transferred to DVD. Does anyone know of someone local that can do this? I really do not want to send somewhere way off and risk damaging them.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks

I think ULL has a course on old 8mm reels these days in their new LBGT degree program.

I was approached a couple of years back about helping to fund the conversion of a lot of old Tech videos (I assume that some were 8mm) to digital. There were several companies they were looking at, but priorities changed and I don't know if they ever got them converted. Malcolm was the person who was leading the effort, so he may have the names of the contacts they were considering at that time.

I just got an e-mail on this product, so I don't know how it works, but I thought of this thread when I got it.
