I will NEVER, EVER buy tickets for another Thursday night Louisiana Tech football game!
BVDV bite me!!!!!
I also will not be able to attend on the Oct 13 date. I also scheduled around the Tech FB schedule and will not be able to reschedule.
That being said, I was really beginning to worry about driving up from BR. Yesterday, the storm was supposed to clear BR by 6pm Wednesday. and be past Shreveport by game time. Now the storm will be over BR well into Thursday and over Shreveport at game time. I was not too keen on driving up in a storm. I'm getting too old for that.
I am also in the "unable to attend on 10/13" club.![]()
However, we will have game film on Houston. They will have none on us. We will also come in healthy where as they could be a little beat up. We have more time to prepare for the game.. I would put us at +10 against Houston. Before the announcement of the postponement, I would have put as at +6.
Same here. Got a big kayak trip in Missouri I'm leading.
But the storm track has shifted considerably west this afternoon, nearly tripling rain projections for Shreveport:

Tough call for the athletic department, I do respect them for making the decision and having to "weather the storm of criticism". BUT I'D DARN SURE BE THERE WITH THE 30 MPH WINDS AND 4 - 5 INCHES OF RAIN ROOTING FOR THE DAWGS!!!!!
How am i going to tear the other tickets without tearing out the A&M? Hmm...a challenge.
I'm disappointed as well, but we should think about the people in South Louisiana that will be hardest hit and even killed by this storm. We have players from these areas that are worried about their homes and families. A&M as well. There will be a lot of rescue and humanitarian aid flowing South in a few days.
I don't think BVD made this decision on his own.
disappointed yes, really upset, no. I think it is great for us. True that A&M will have more time to get their ducks in a row by that time. However, they will be in the heart of their conference schedule by then. We don't know what A&M has for sure, but we will by then. They know what we have from watching film on last year. Saturday gate will be better and you never know, some people who don't have that day off may be able to work it out within the next 2 months. Some who could not get out this week will be there in october. Sucks, but oh well. More time to get our crap rolling.
