They might have motives in terms of gaining a competitive advantage as well. At this point, they don't really know how their offense will emerge. It would not be good for them to try and cut their teeth against a veteran and gamely LaTech squad because they could very well lose the game--which would be a downer. Now, if they lose to Florida next week, it's not nearly as big of a deal from a perceptual standpoint (fanwise).
I saw BVDV at lunch today and talking to Barksdale is what he indicated to me as well...said there were 3 options...1 still play in the rain and wind and lightning 2. Play Saturday morning in Shreveport 3. Play Oct 13th. Also told me someone else had the final say (words exactly from his mouth and it was not DR). Disappointed but I feel the right decision was made.

The right decision would have been waiting until TOMORROW to call the game one way or another. Calling it a full 2+ days before the game is simply moronic.
Dude, he doesn't want a government job. I've got one and it doesn't pay too well.
See here's the problem with that. I've seen that forecast, but I've also seen multiple other forecasts showing it hitting Shreveport dead center with heavy rain, lightning and wind.
Not safe.
And again not to beat a dead horse but playing in that kind of weather IMO HEAVILY favors the Aggies.
