I was impressed with Rice's offense. Those 2 TEs were a load... especially on the sweep plays. The big RB was a bruiser and hard to tackle. The QB was a dual threat and passed and ran well. I don't think Illinois will be much better than Rice on offense... maybe a little worse. But I bet they do as well as Rice did. They should score 4 TDs or more. I just don't think Illinois --with all their injuries-- is capable of scoring more than this. And after everything I've read, I know they can't stop us.

They are the best D we've faced, but they also very well could be the worst O. The road dawgs did well last year.

As long as their DL isn't waaaay to much for our offense, and we get at least a little bit more production out of our defense, we should get the W. However, there is a definite possibility that 28-38 Illinois is on the scoreboard on Saturday. This is by far the best defense and overall team we've played, unless Rice is just planning on going beastmode for the rest of the season.
Until our defense shows me otherwise I'm thinking a high scoring game.

tech 38, illinois 30. they are closer to the bottom than the top of the big ten, which is not a very strong conference right now. road games against aq schools are always tough, but i can't imagine these guys are a lot better than a mississippi state type team. in fact, i doubt they are that good. if we don't have the killer turnovers, i think we win

I honestly think their D-line shuts our running game down compared to what we've seen, we should be able to pass the ball but I think they are able to contain it enough to slow up our offense, which keeps the defense on the field just as long but with fewer points on the board. I'm not convinced we could stop a 3A High School offense right now. I think we load the plane back home licking our wounds at 2-1...I do think it's close but just not in our favor.
