Good Time To Be a Dawg

Enjoy these times. Historically we have let these moments get away without capatalizing. I see a concerted effort to keep moving forward. We continue building the base. It's not perfect, but it is light years ahead of what we did in early 90's and late 90's/01'. A lot of us watched as we became complacent and the window of opportunity closed. I do not see that now.

Do whatever you can to promote Tech and give as much as you can. Keep us moving forward.

The Monday after a loss is never a good time to be a Dawg. If you are smiling today, your expectations are lower than mine.
    Jordan Mills on choosing Tech:
“It’s a great experience seeing them play. It was a good atmosphere. The fans stood up the whole game and never sat down. They have a great fan base.”

True, we probably should have won that game.... but it's nice to be disappointed with a possible 11-1 team. Our expectations have changed significantly!

And I was embarassed by the demonstrations of jubilee I saw from people wearing red and blue after the game. We lost. I know it was an exciting game and there is much to be proud of in the dawgs-never-die effort of the team, but too many people looked happy with the result of this game.

This has nothing to do with Sat. night. I am talking about the ability to grow the program consistently. All great programs win and lose big games. That is part of the deal. This is about putting us in a positive long term position.

Again, this has nothing to do with Sat. result. I am sick over that, but bullish on our future. Unlike days past when we knew all success was temporary.

Understand your point. But, some folks were also making a statement that they (we) are proud to be Tech fans. That doesn't change week to week with the results of the games. Once a Tech fan, always a Tech fan. I saw some of that afterwards, and it's a good thing.

I'm sick to death about losing even though I know this season is still going to be special in the end. What makes me more sick is that thought that we are going to have one of the greatest seasons in history and have to go back to the drawing board when our coach leaves. I don't know how you can bring yet another coach and yet another system with the need for different types of players and win consistantly. Boise changed coaches but kept basically the same system in place so they were able to win with different coaches. I don't know if there is another coach in the country that does what we do. The only other way is to bring in a TECH man for life. Oh well I guess enjoy what we have now and worry about that later.

I was happy everyone was happy. We weren't complacent...but we were proud to be Dawgs. I think a lot of people thought we were going to lose by a lot more than 2 points.

What are the chances of us keeping every coach and only losing Coach Dykes? That's what Boise St did.

The success we are having on offense is due to Dykes and Frankin, I feel pretty confident that Franklin goes with Dykes and I'm pretty sure most of the people on our little board here would lose their collective minds if Spangler stayed after Dykes goes.

Because we would lose our collective season.

    My guess:

    Dykes: $3 Million
Franklin: He would probably triple his salary.
